Flower Carnival of Debrecen Day 3-4 (August 14-15)

The 20^th of August is State Foundation Day in Hungary. St. Stephen (ca. 975 – 15 August 1038), as the first king of Hungary, led the country into the Christian church and established the institutions of the kingdom and the church. He was canonized on the 20^th of August 1083, and the 20^th of August is his feast day in Hungary. It has also been the day of the Flower Carnival in Debrecen almost every year since 1966. This year it lasts from the 12^th to the 22^nd of August.

Every day:

Free Exhibitions in Kölcsey Center

from 8 am to 8 pm

• The Christian legacy of St. Stephen: The counties of the Holy Crown (The exhibition of the painter Anton Kovach)
• Castles and fortified churches (The exhibition of the painter Tamás Potyók)

from 9 am to 7 pm

• Olympians connected to Hajdú-Bihar county (Traveling exhibition of the biography of 103 sportsmen)

from 10 am to 7 pm

• Playmobil exhibition (factory showcases, giant Playmobil figures, and playhouse. Valuable playmobile prizes are waiting for you!)
