Long weekends and public holidays in 2025

There will be five long weekends in 2025.

Four-day long weekends in 2025:

• 18-21^st of April: Easter
• 1-4^th of May: Labor Day, the workday of the 2^nd of May must be worked on the 17^th of May, Saturday
• 23-26^th of October: Memorial Day of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, the workday of the 24^th of October must be worked on the 18^th of October, Saturday

Three-day long weekends in 2025:

• 7-9^th of June: Pentecost
• 24-26^th of December: Christmas

Further public holiday in 2025:

• 20^th of August: Hungarian State Foundation Day

Shops are closed on red letter holidays. The hospital only has doctors on call. There is a holiday schedule in public transport.

School holidays:

• Spring break: 17-27^th of April
• Summer break: between the 21^st of June and the 31^st of August

Public transport is changing. City and long-distance runs are less frequent.
