Awards Ceremony and Opening of Mini Exhibition

The photo contest is over, the winners get their awards, and there will be a photo exhibition on the 22^nd of September in American Corner Debrecen.

As we wrote earlier, American Corner Debrecen announced a photo contest with the title “Find the U.S. in Debrecen” in August.

You had to send photos taken in or around the city of Debrecen of scenes that are reminiscent of the United States, evoking images from that country, or that someone would likely guess were taken there.

American Corner Debrecen have received some great photos, and the jury has finally reached its decision. At 5 pm on the 22^nd of September, the jury members will announce the results, briefly justify their choices, and the winners will receive prizes. At that same time, a small exhibition from the submitted photos will also be opened, which will be on display at the American Corner (19/D Bem square, in Méliusz Juhász Péter Library) starting that time.

The “American Corner” is the program of the United States Department of State worldwide. It contains the American Corner in Debrecen, which organizes events about the English culture mainly in English, like this photo competition.
