The Erasmus Student Network organizes the last two trips of the semester to Eger and Vienna in November and December.
Eger
The Debrecen Team of Erasmus Student Network (ESN) invites you to a one-day trip to the Eger Wine region, famous for its Bikavér wine, which roughly translates to Bull’s blood.
The city lies in the northern part of the country so prepare to embrace Hungary’s forests and mountains. After getting to know the city and its famous castle, the journey closes with a delicious traditional dinner with the region’s signature wines.
The tour includes:
- Traveling by private bus
- Entrance to the castle of Eger
- Tour with a professional tour guide
- Wine tasting
- Dinner
SCHEDULE
- 8:30 am: meeting point at DESOK, leaving Debrecen
- 11 am – 1 pm: Visiting the Castle
- 1 pm – 4 pm: Free time, wandering around the Christmas market
- 4 pm – 7 pm: Wine tasting and dinner in Szépasszonyvölgy (Beautiful women’s valley)
- 7 pm – 9 pm: traveling back home

PRICES:

You can get your ticket in the International Relations Office between 9 am to 11 am from Monday to Thursday.
You must purchase your ticket in advance by Sunday (20th of November)!
Vienna
The destination of the last trip of the semester is Vienna. It’s a two-night trip taking place from the 9th and 11th of December. The city is famous for its Christmas markets. So you will be traveling at the best period.
The trip includes:
- Traveling by a private bus
- Accommodation for 2 nights in the city center/6 beds in a room/
- Breakfast at the hostel
Prices:
- 170 EUR with ESNcard
- 180 EUR without ESNcard
It must be paid in advance!

Ticket-selling hours and venues will be announced soon. Spots are limited! Look for the ESN members if you have any questions!
The estimated arrival time back to Debrecen is 10 pm on the 11th of December.
