The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Debrecen Team is looking for buddies.
Students taking part in the Buddy Program are responsible for making the incoming exchange students’ lives easier at the beginning of the semester by picking them up at the train station, helping them with official arrangements (immigration office, opening a bank account, etc.), showing them the city with the help of ESN Debrecen as well as throughout the semester by being there for them as a friend. Sign up if you are interested in mentoring an exchange student, improving your language skills, and making some international friendships.

Applicants also must participate in an online interview.

ESN Debrecen helps international students feel at home thousands of kilometers far away from there and helps Hungarian students know every detail about how they can study abroad in a new and different environment.
They organize trips to Budapest, Vienna, Eger, Krakow, Karaoke Night, or other cultural programs.
They organize charity events because they believe it makes you happy to serve other people.
The events are open (exchange and other international or Hungarian students are also welcome).
ESN Debrecen coordinates the Erasmus Buddy Program to help exchange students fit into the new environment and makes sure they feel at home in Debrecen. Each exchange student gets a Hungarian student who will help them with everyday issues and introduces the exchange students to Hungary.
