The previously unused terrace of FÓRUM Debrecen Shopping Center facing Rákóczi Street will be transformed into an exclusive food court. The current food court will be available in the same location, so it is an expansion of the offer.
It is how the skyline of the shopping center changes.

In response to our question, owner Lóránt Tutor said that the new food court, FÓRUM Cloud, has a building permit and that work on the prefabricated metal structure began in December 2024. This structure will be raised to the upper terrace from Rákóczi Street in the coming weeks. During this period, there will be traffic restrictions on the affected road section, which also affects pedestrian traffic, bicycle traffic, and the use of the bus lane.

Regarding the concept, the investor explained that Debrecen is developing more dynamically compared to other county seats, and the FORUM is trying to follow this. He emphasized that the experience of recent years shows that more and more people like to spend their free time in the shopping center, so they go to the building not only to shop but also to meet, eat together, or study and read in a cafe. The unbroken popularity of the FORUM is also clearly shown by the fact that every business premises has a tenant.
The FÓRUM Cloud will be structurally ready in mid-October, but leasing will start in the summer so that the companies involved can start building the units as soon as possible. According to the plans, there will be five restaurants in the glass box built on the terrace: a cafe, a hamburger bar, and three restaurants: a Hungarian, an Italian, and an Asian kitchen.

Of course, negotiations with potential tenants are already underway, and there is a high chance that brands that have been mainly available in the capital until now will arrive in Debrecen, such as Padthai wokbar, Bamba Marha Burger, or KATSA. The exact offer will be available in the second half of this year. The opening of FÓRUM Cloud is expected in 2026.
