The UniBike bicycle-sharing system was established by the University of Debrecen and the Debrecen Reformed Theological University. The purpose of the UniBike system is to enable students and employees of the universities to move between the campuses.
The UniBike bicycle-sharing system is run by the Student Government of the University of Debrecen. Within this system, 100 bicycles are available at 152 locks of 8 stations. The system is no ordinary bike hire but one of the new forms of public transport, the aim of which is to help students and professors travel quickly and comfortably among the university buildings. To use UniBike, one needs an activated, valid university card (UniPass, DEKa) already used in the payment system. Instead of using the payment system, it is possible to validate the card using UniBike at the HAK office at Egyetem Square.
The bicycles are available daily from 7 am to 9 pm.
Start
- Touch your card to the card reader next to the bike!
- The LED shows that the bike is unlocked.

- Make sure the bike is locked!
