Teacher Training Courses at Helen Doron.
No language or pedagogical pre-training is required to be a teacher of Helen Doron. Only an advanced KER2 C-type English language exam is required.
Men and women applying for Helen Doron training first take part in a face-to-face conversation, followed by a test-teaching.
It is how Helen Doron assesses applicants’ social skills, language skills, approaches, and attitudes. Only candidates can start the course, who
- understand children’s language and be able to communicate effectively
- believe in positive affirmation and apply it often, instinctively
- look ahead even in the most challenging situations
- a piece of their soul remains as a child, so they are easy and happy to teach playfully
- love English and were Qazi born to teach
Only qualified Helen Doron English teachers who have successfully completed the 5-day course can teach at the Helen Doron Language Center. The next training will start on the 12th of July.
The 5-day training in Budapest is a super-intensive form of course that requires full presence and focused attention.
The first two days of the course are about general educational information.
The second, three-day methodological part also requires extraordinary personality and endurance. You will learn the method of teaching Helen Doron English, you will learn practices, you will learn to think and teach according to the HD approach.
It is significant to know that this course is not easy, and the success is not automatic.
The five-day basic training entitles you to teach 5-8-year-old students, so if you would like to work with other age groups, you should continue to study. Helen Doron also provides courses for this.

One of the Helen Doron Debrecen teachers is Souza Sampaio Mariana. She is Brazilian, and she moved to Hungary to study Earth Sciences, where she is currently doing her specialization in Meteorology at the University of Debrecen.
