There will be a Hans Zimmer Lords of The Sound concert at 7 pm on the 21st of June 2024 at the Kölcsey Center. The symphonic orchestra, Lords of the Sound, is coming to Debrecen with a genuine show called The Music of Hans Zimmer.
Hans Zimmer is a German film composer who became popular after the release of the cult film „Rain Man„. „While creating the music for Rain Man, I always thought don’t try to overshadow the characters. Do not go to the foreground. Raymond, the main character, doesn’t really understand where he is. He sees light differently than we do… Why not create ‘light music’ for the light that exists only in his head?” Hans recalls.
This work became a turning point in his career – Zimmer was awarded an Oscar nomination. Top Hollywood directors lined up to work with him. Hans devoted himself to the work, often creating musical themes for two or three films at once. His music impressed the Disney studio, so they commissioned Zimmer to create a composition for the animated movie „The Lion King”. The musical theme of the cartoon brought the composer three of the most prestigious awards – Oscar, Golden Globe, and Grammy. Zimmer continued to receive numerous awards, becoming the best of the best in Hollywood. It was rare for an Oscar ceremony to end without nominee Zimmer.
