Register for the European Universities Games!

The European Universities Games (EUG) is a multisport event engaging athletes from European universities, held every two years and hosted in different European university cities. The Hungarian cities of Debrecen and Miskolc are hosting the sixth edition of the European Universities Games after Lodz, Poland was handed the hosting rights for 2022. Apply before the 1^st of February to secure your spot!

Participants of the EUG are students between 17 and 30 years old from universities and similar institutions with the status of an institution of higher education recognized by an appropriate national authority of their country. Participants shall be nominated through their National University Sports Associations (NUSA). You can find the list of NUSA here.

Registration deadlines:

• General entry: the 1^st of February
• Quantitative entry (Referee entry): the 1^st of April
• Individual entry: the 1^st of June
• Travel plan: the 1^st of June

The Hungarian cities of Debrecen and Miskolc will host the 6^th edition of EUG. It was announced at the EUSA General Assembly held in Madrid in April 2018. Since the 1965 Summer Universiade, it would be the biggest University sports event organized in Hungary. Organizers expect more than 4500 athletes to compete in 17 different sports.

Both Debrecen and Miskolc are cities of sports. In terms of the infrastructure, sports facilities, and the commitment to sports, everything serves as the joint venue for the European Universities Games.

The combined population of 850,000 people in the two cities and their agglomerations represent a center of gravity in the country, with the support of the Government of Hungary and most of the country’s population supporting the successful implementation of the tasks undertaken.

EUG 2024 will provide strong support for the further development of both cities, increases the importance and popularity of Hungarian and international university sports while emphasizing sustainability.
