The number of inoculated people reached 5.5 million on Friday, so most of the epidemiological measures were eliminated on Saturday.
It means the following:
- The mask-wearing in shops and public transport will no longer be mandatory, but the rule remains in force in social care settings and hospitals.
- Immunity certificates will not be required for the use of:
- catering establishments
- accommodation services
- leisure facilities
- cultural events and performances with pre-booked seats.
- Shops will not be required to maintain restrictions on the number of customers and social distancing rules.
- 100 people will be allowed to attend private events, up from 50, and the limit for weddings will go up from 200 to 400 people.
- Immunity certificates will still be required for participation in sports, music and dance events, as well as concerts held indoors and outdoor events with more than 500 spectators. Under 18s can only attend these events with an immunity certificate or under the supervision of a vaccinated person.
- Universities and colleges can prepare to restore attendance education.

It is yet unknown what effect the ongoing UEFA European Championship will have, but it seems like we are in a similar situation as last year when the great easement was followed by a lot of restrictions. The fourth wave is coming in the fall.
Significantly, the not mandatory mask-wearing means that it is now optional. Anyone who feels safe while wearing a mask can continue to wear it.
