In an interview on Kossuth Radio, Viktor Orbán announced that we reach 5 million inoculated people this weekend. After that, there will be significant changes.
Over the weekend, we will reach five million vaccinated people, which is a milestone. It means we have overcome the third wave of the epidemic.
The operative board, therefore, decided to repeal most of the restrictions. These are the following:
- No more curfew.
- No more early closing of stores.
- You don’t have to wear masks in public places.
- You can do sports in public places.
- Private and family events can be held for up to 50 people.
- Weddings can be held for up to 200 people.
- The operator is obliged to ensure segregation in hotels.
- Indoor music and dance events can only be attended with an immunity certificate.
- Outdoor events and protests can be held for up to 500 people.
- 16-18-year-old people can go to the cinema or theater alone, but only with an immunity certificate.
These rules will take effect after 5 million vaccinees, predictably over the weekend.

She added that patients in other wards could only be visited for one hour a day and only by a visitor with an immunity certificate.

It is estimated that in the autumn of 2022, at the latest at the end of next year, the new Hungarian vaccine factory will start production, which will produce the Hungarian vaccine developed until then.
In a hundred days, the cornerstone of the national vaccine factory will be laid in Debrecen, announced László György, State Secretary for Economic Strategy and Regulation of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology, at noon Monday.
He stressed that:
the University of Debrecen has the necessary knowledge for the factory to ensure sufficiency in vaccines against new epidemics and infectious diseases for Hungarians and residents of the surrounding countries from the end of 2022.
According to the State Secretary, such a factory is also a profitable investment due to sales abroad.
The danger is not over yet. 3 million people have not yet been vaccinated, new mutations may appear, and the virus is still here.
According to Viktor Orbán, the credit moratorium was positive for people with less money and the middle class, and its abolition is a severe professional issue. It has been extended by two months to give themselves and the banks time to decide what will happen after the end of the credit moratorium, the 1st of September.
