Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, made a speech on Monday on Facebook. Due to the accelerating pace of the pandemic, there are new restrictions:
These acts will be valid for 30 days, starting on the 11th of November. In case of need, the period of validity can be extended.
- From 8 pm to 5 am, there is a curfew, except for those who are traveling to the workplace or coming from the place of work or in case of extraordinary conditions
- Every kind of assemblage is forbidden
- Restaurants are closed, only door-to-door delivery is possible, but canteens can be open
- Stores and hairdressing salons can be open until 7 pm
- Hotels can only give rooms for guests who arrive for business purposes, not for tourists
- The general event ban enters into force
- At family celebrations, there can be a maximum of 10 members
- Online education takes effect from the 9th class
- There can only be online education in tertiary education, and dormitories are closed
- There is only online education in the upper school too
- Day nurseries, kindergartens and elementary schools stay open
- Workers of day nurseries, kindergartens, and lower schools are tested weekly, even though the quick test gives only 60% accuracy
- Weddings are only possible with the best men, parents and sisters or brothers
- At funerals, a maximum of 50 people can take part
- Sports matches can be organized behind closed gates
- Doing amateur team sports are forbidden
- Doing individual outdoor sports are approved
- Free time facilities, theatres, museums, zoos are closed
