Clips made for international students

The library of the University of Debrecen acquired a 3D printer.

The resources of the University and National Library of the University of Debrecen (DEENK) got a new device in the form of a 3D printer. 150 plastic clips were made with the logo of the DEENK on them during the test print. These clips, which help to wear masks more safely, are distributed to international students in the dormitory with the help of the Student Union of the University of Debrecen (DEHÖK).

DEENK purchased the new printer from a tender source and with an expenditure of approximately 600,000 Forints.

Our goal is to create new types of library spaces, including a creative workshop, using cutting edge technical achievements, which supports students’ university studies and provides help for innovative solutions

Bettina Bácsó, DEENK’s communications agency and public relations officer, told hirek.unideb.hu at the transfer ceremony on Monday.

Currently, (based on individual fairness requests) about 900 foreigners, Hungarians from the other side of the borders, and Ph.D. students live in the dormitories of the university. According to individual needs, DEHÖK will distribute the tools helping the wearing of the mask for those who have glasses this week
