There has been no international musician in Debrecen since February of 2020. Much of cultural life stopped for known reasons in March, especially live music. Although it was possible to organize concerts last summer, foreign performers did not come to Hungary. It did not change in the first half of 2021. This year’s Campus Festival was also held exclusively with Hungarian performers last month. Now, however, here’s the first swallow: Elias B Rønnenfelt, front man of the formation from Copenhagen, called Iceage, arrives in the Nagyerdő (Great Forest) on the 20th of August.
The 29-year-old musician arrived in Hungary without his band and will give four acoustic concerts for four days: on the 18th of August, the Pontoon will host him in Budapest. On Thursday, he will perform at the Fekete Zaj festival in the Mátra Mountains, from where he will come to Debrecen. On the 20th of August, he will play in the H2O Club of the Nagyerdei Víztorony (Water Tower), id est in the gallery below. There will also be Csaknekedkislány and Carson Coma concerts at the Water Tower Garden that day, so anyone who has or will purchase tickets for them can also watch the young Danish performer. If you are not interested in the previous concerts, you can participate in the acoustic concert with a 1000 Forint ticket.

Behold! Here is a recording of a concert a few days ago. It is a good indication of what visitors of the concert can expect on Friday night at the Víztorony:
The solo tour can happen because the band, which recently released a new album, is planning a massive album supporting tour next year, so the summer has become free for the singer-guitarist. He reported on this and his plans to travel Europe with only a guitar back in April on Instagram:
The Facebook event of the concert in Debrecen is available here.
The IX. Zajkert in MODEM comes in September, where countless international productions will play music for two days.
