The ninth yoUDay, Europe’s one-of-a-kind stadium show, will begin at 6:30 pm on the 17th of September at Nagyerdei Stadium. Here is the most important information.
Tickets for the biggest university party of the year can be purchased through a brand-new online platform. The new website, which is also available in English, provides visitors with a wealth of useful information, answers questions about yoUDay using artificial intelligence, and features a countdown timer that shows exactly when the biggest university party of the year will begin.
This year, for the first time, the freshmen of the year will be chosen, and one boy and one girl will hold the title for a year and receive a UniPass Gold card, which allows them to attend university parties, freshman balls, DEAC matches, and oDEon Theater performances for free.
According to the organizers, yoUDay has spanned four generations, because everyone from high school students to university students and from parents to grandparents can find something extraordinary in it.
You can pick up your wristbands at several locations throughout Debrecen. At the entrance to the main building of the University of Debrecen, on the -1 level of the Forum Debrecen Shopping Center, and at the two ticket offices of the Nagyerdei Stadium facing the zoo. Those who wish to purchase tickets for the event in person are also welcome at the stadium. It is important to note that university members can only purchase discounted tickets here by presenting their UniPass card.
To ensure smooth access, there will be yellow and green wristbands this year, allowing visitors to enter the stadium only through the entrance of the same color, where both wristbands will grant free access to the area in front of and next to the stage.
On the 17th of September, Wednesday, several information desks and maps will help visitors find the easiest way to get to the show: at the fog theater, at the intersection of Nagyerdei körút and Pallagi út, and in front of the stadium.
The stadium show will feature several well-known Hungarian performers who are guaranteed to create a great atmosphere: the Bagossy Brothers Company, ByeAlex and Slepp, Gergő Dánielfy, Bogi Nagy, Jennifer Szirota, and Máté Gudics. Astronaut Tibor Kapu will also take the stage. The three-hour show has been put together with a focus on national, city and university values.
On this evening, not only will the stars grab the microphone, but also university citizens, the chancellor, and students. DVSC and DEAC will also be there. Thousands will celebrate with a monumental night party at the Nagyerdő, the Nagyerdei Stadium.
The stadium show will last until 10 pm. At 10 pm, a Retro Party will begin, with the Abrakazabra band, the Feeling Dance Studio, the students of the R&B Dance School, and the DEAC Cheerleaders adding to the atmosphere. The Campus Party welcomes participants from 11 pm until 4 am.
