If you are a university student (for example, in the University of Debrecen), you can download Bill Gates: How to avoid a climate disaster book in epub format for free until the 31st of October.
Bill Gates announced on his official Twitter profile that his latest book about climate change is available for every college and university student worldwide this week.
The How to Avoid a Climate Disaster: The Solutions We Have and the Breakthroughs We Need book was published in February, and it is the number one bestseller on The New York Times Best Seller list.
In this book, Bill Gates sets out a wide-ranging, practical—and accessible—plan for how the world can reduce to zero the greenhouse gas emissions in time to avoid a climate catastrophe.
The eBook will download as an epub file which can be opened in a compatible e-reader application. Offer valid globally for students currently enrolled in a college or university. Offer limited to one copy per capita, and you may not copy or distribute the eBook.
It is about all the steps we need to take to keep the planet livable for humans. We need to revolutionize our entire economy, including the way we move things around the planet, produce electricity, make things, grow food, and heat and cool our buildings.
The author illustrates his message with graphs, photos, and memes. He also explains significant topics in the form of questions, answers, and tips. Obviously, this book doesn’t solve the problems, but at least it thinks about them. The afterword also mentions that we have learned a lot from the coronavirus epidemic, which we can also use to avoid climate change (like international cooperation).
As the founder and owner of the Microsoft company, Bill Gates played a significant role in the history of the blooming microcomputer industry in the late 20th century, with software as widespread as Microsoft Windows.
