The Student Union of the University of Debrecen and the National Union of Students in Hungary are organizing the 3rd season of the HÖOK Electronic Games free online e-sport event starting on the 20th of October. The competitors who make it to the finals will play in person at the PlayIT event in Budapest on the 25th of November.
Participants can apply for 6 games, which are the followings:
Single-player games:
- EA Sport FC
- Hearthstone
- Clash Royale
Team games:
- League of Legends
- Valorant
- Rocket League

The entry is not yet valid with the registration. After registration, everyone must register for the given game in the “Join Events” menu. In team games: after team registration, the team captain must enter the team for the game. After the registration is closed, applicants will be notified about the exact schedule by email! After the approval of the team, the remaining team members must set it in their profile. After that, any person in the team can sign up the team for the event.
An event is an online event. Each participant plays on the event from their device, from home in Hungary (with EU IP). If you try to play from a foreign country, you will be disqualified because your ping will be high. The finals are planned to be held offline in a big show.
The application deadline is 11:59 pm on the 18th of October 2023.
Who can apply?
1 player can apply for more games.
Only University citizens can apply. The following are citizens of the University: all active full-time or correspondence students, Ph.D. students.
Employees or alumni (already graduated from the university) are non-university citizens in the tournament.
Team games:
1 player can apply for more games, but in 1 game can participate only in 1 team!
The team must have a minimum of 3 University citizens. The team has a maximum of 1 non-university students! The team can have a maximum of 7 members. Substitutions must be registered in advance. There will be no possibility of exchanges in teams later.
Rocket League: The team can have a maximum of 4 members. The team has a maximum of 1 non-university citizen!
Offline finals
The organizers plan to organize the finals (1st and 2nd place) offline in a personal event. Those who reach the finals of a given game qualify for the event, which will be held on the 25th of November 2023, at the PlayIT event in Budapest. The players who made it to the finals only participated in the finals in person, there is no possibility of subsequent exchange or online participation! The affected players will receive detailed information about the entry and location on the discord server or by e-mail.
In the final, the devices for the games (PC, Console, Peripherals) will be provided.
