We’ve reported on Tibor Kapu’s preparations for his space trip several times before. The carefully prepared launch has been postponed for the time being.

If everything goes well, the Hungarian researcher astronaut will take a Hungarian chocolate specialty with him into space, which will represent Hungary.
Stühmer has always been known for its commitment to tradition and innovation, but now it is entering a whole new field – space.

As an avid consumer of Stühmer, Tibor Kapu was delighted to support the brand’s ambition to take this delicious dessert into space. The preparations for this took many months because the extreme conditions required extraordinary developments.
NASA’s food safety requirements for astronauts are designed to ensure the safety of highly specialized foods, taking into account long-term storage, specific nutritional needs, and the space environment.
Under the guidance of Éva Mazurka, Stühmer’s Quality Manager, a product was created that was also designed to adapt to environmental changes.
Good news:
Anyone who wants to taste the Korfu bars that the crew will be eating in space can buy them at Stühmer’s brand shop in the Forum Debrecen Shopping Centre.
