January/February intake at the University of Debrecen

If you are interested in starting your academic career at the University of Debrecen (UD) in January/February 2023, submit your application before the 15^th of November. Available programs include multiple MA/MSc and Ph.D. level programs.

Diplomas attained at the UD are generally accepted in the countries of the European Union. Moreover, all the programs are accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Board, which is part of the European Accreditation Board.

The University of Debrecen offers more than 80 degree programs entirely taught in English: including Foundation Programs, Undergraduate Programs, Graduate Programs, and Ph.D./Doctoral Programs.

The duration of the graduate programs is mostly 4 semesters, and the average tuition fee is 7,500 USD per year.

If you have already submitted your application or have student status at UD, please do not fill out the online form, as it would cause duplications in the database.

You need to submit the following required documents online:

• Certificate or proof of citizenship and/or permanent residence
• Detailed CV
• Medical Certificate
• Bank receipt about the transfer of the application fee of 150 USD

If you applied for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship for 2023/24 and are not interested in self-financed studies, please do not fill out the online form. There is no need to submit your application to the University of Debrecen directly. Please, make sure to submit your documents through the Tempus Public Foundation’s online system: https://apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu. If you are nominated by your home country, UD will automatically receive your application from Tempus Public Foundation.
