The Hungarian street food restaurant Zing Burger opened an eating place in Debrecen for the first time on the 20th of November.
The new Zing Burger can be found at 11-15 Piac street. There is only door-to-door delivery through Netpincér and Wolt and takeaway because of the current circumstances. The opening offer included free delivery, and the first 1000 customers got bonus Street Burger vouchers. It would have opened two weeks ago, but it went wrong due to the pandemic, so it has been postponed to last Friday.
They make every year an honest burger which represents and summarizes the last 12 months. This year it is called “F.ck 2020”, which is exactly 2020 Forints. It is a telling name, but we hope it is more delicious than the name suggests.
The restaurant chain, called Zing Burger & Co., was established in 2013. That year, ZING has launched its first food truck and since has been a permanent member of lead festivals. Back then, their goal was only to make quality and delicious hamburgers for the people in Budapest and the main festivals. Next year, they opened the first Zing Burger eatery in Budapest. 2016 was the year of momentum: Zing is present with 3 new restaurants and a new permanent location. Tamas Kenderesi, who won a bronze medal in swimming in the Rio Olympics, was the special guest of the opening ceremony, and made the first premium Wagyu hamburger. In 2018, a Franchise Cooperation was launched, which became international in 2019. Now there are more than 10 of their restaurants in the country and 2 in the neighboring countries.

Zing Burger offers obviously a wide variety of burgers obviously, but there is other cool stuff that brings some novelty into Debrecen. Their dishes are freshly made, so if you have any additional requests, tell them, and they will try to make it happen. The menu contains cheesesteak sandwiches and healthy dishes like salad and sweet potato fries too. They also offer snacks, such as chicken wings and strips, onion rings, and grilled cheese, which can be consumed alone or next to hamburgers. About the ingredients, they make very own sauces; bake the buns, and mince the meat for the patties. There are no artificial preservatives and additives. The buns are made of one of the best flours in Hungary from the 100-year-old Szabo Mill – and these buns are baked in their own bakery every day. They have their own soft drinks too, called Zing Limo, which is made of freshly squeezed grapefruit, lemon, sugar, and filtered water. It has Mint and Ginger-Hibiscus flavor, and there is a sugar-free version. The sauces, like BBQ-sauce, peppered mayo and apple ketchup, are homemade. And the last but not least unique feature is that it is one of the few burger-makers in the Hungarian market who process the beef by themselves.
