The Golden Voices of Gospel will give a concert in the Reformed Great Church of Debrecen on the 18th of November.
All the members of the Baptist Dwight Robson’s band, The Golden Voices of Gospel, are flying from the United States of America to Europe, where they have been performing regularly for many years. Dwight Robson’s band is usually an 11-12-member instrumental and vocal ensemble whose African American members are great musicians and excellent soloists.
World stars like Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey worked with the professional band „The Golden Voices of Gospel”.
The word gospel means the Christian message („the gospel”). It developed from American religious songs, the prayers of the African Americans’ desire for freedom and happiness, and spirituals, but it has a livelier pulsation and rhythm. The leading performers of today’s pop music (Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, etc.) also drew a lot from the traditions of this style.
