At 2 pm on the 3rd of May 2024, Debrecen will come to a standstill as the International Student Union (ISU) and Student Government of the University of Debrecen (DEHÖK) kick off the official end-of-semester festivities with a bang.
International Food Day has been a gastronomy festival for international students at the University of Debrecen for more than 10 years.
This year, there will be a staggering 22,000 portions. That’s four times the feast from last year. With 30 teams on board, the event has outgrown the previous venue and set up camp right outside HALL.
The organizers welcome students from Budapest, Szeged, and Pécs with buses, ensuring nobody misses out on this epic culinary journey.
Embark on a tantalizing tour of global flavors, from savory delights to irresistible sweets, and immerse yourself in a cultural tapestry woven with culinary traditions from around the world.
Brace yourself for a whirlwind of entertainment featuring sensational singers, electrifying bands, and captivating cultural performances that will transport you to far-off lands.
After the sun sets, get ready to groove into the night at the city’s most epic after-party. Running until 4 am the next day, it’s your chance to dance, mingle, and make memories in an atmosphere buzzing with diversity and camaraderie.
