The latest members of the Xbox and PlayStation console families arriving on the 10th and the 19th of November respectively. These new representatives of the most famous video game brands will have 8K resolution, built-in SSD storage device and 3D audio effects.
The American corporation Microsoft released the first Xbox on the 15th of November 2001. Since then, this home video game console has evolved through 3 incarnations. And now here is the Xbox Series X/S. The name of this new console is confusing and lacks logic. Instead of giving numbers like PlayStation does, Microsoft gives such names to its consoles as 360, X and One. That’s the reason why it is easy to mistake the name of the new console (Xbox Series X) for the name of a preceding model (Xbox One X). Not just the name but the look is also interesting. On reveal of the Xbox Series X’s vertical form factor, a popular joke on the Internet compared it to a refrigerator. In the lead-up to the console’s release, Microsoft manufactured a limited number of refrigerators modeled after the Xbox Series X exterior, some which it distributed to celebrities like Snoop Dogg.

Enlisted is an upcoming squad-based massively multiplayer online shooter game reconstructing World War II battles. It will be an Xbox Series X/S launch title and timed console exclusive.
The Japanese company Sony has its own videogame console called PlayStation since the 3rd of December 1994. As the name suggests PlayStation 5 is the fifth generation. There were two handheld PlayStation consoles too, called PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita, but they proved to be failures due to the spread of smartphones. PlayStation 5 comes with a 3D platformer game Astro’s Playroom which is loaded to every console without use of downloading.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is an upcoming action-adventure game which is a launch title for the PlayStation 5. Based on the Marvel Comics superhero Miles Morales, it will be the second game in the Marvel’s Spider-Man series, following Marvel’s Spider-Man.
Xbox and PlayStation technically have their own “Netflix for games” services called Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Now. What is more, they have premium online subscription services too, Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus which grant users access to a catalog of games from a range of publishers for a single monthly subscription price.
The Xbox has become the rival of PlayStation dividing the gamers into two groups. These groups want to prove that they have the better taste in gaming. The problem is that it is impossible to decide which one is the better because neither of them is better than the other. They are just different. The most significant difference lies in the console exclusive games (see above), so it all depends on what kind of games you want to play. A main advantage of PlayStation is the support of virtual reality with its own dedicated headset. On the other hand, there is the backward compatibility of Xbox.

If you want to try or buy one of these consoles, they will be available in MediaMarkts and PlayIT Stores soon.
