It can be hard to live in a foreign country, but there are ways to make it easier. One of them is to communicate with similar people who have similar problems as you or have solutions. One of the easiest ways to connect with these people is through Facebook. This series of articles collect these English-language groups of Debrecen.
I introduce two new groups in this article.
International Friendship Club Debrecen
It is a private group created in 2022, so it is a new group. Only English or bilingual posts are allowed.
It is not a very big group, since it has only circa 550 members but is developing.
The aim of IFCD is to help internationals, regardless they are single, couples or families staying in Debrecen for a longer period in their integration into the local society and support them to live a joyful, peaceful, and balanced life far from home. The Club also aims to help Hungarian citizens in making international friendships, and it helps in getting to know different cultures.
Used books for sale in Debrecen
It is a private group created by Mila Petrović in 2021 to help everyone in Debrecen (especially students) to buy and sell books at affordable prices. Please, post in English so we can all understand.
It is a small group since it has only circa 160 members.
The group welcomes everyone who wants to buy or sell only in Debrecen.
