It can be hard to live in a foreign country, but there are ways to make it easier. One of them is to communicate with similar people who have similar problems as you or have solutions. One of the easiest ways to connect with these people is through Facebook. This series of articles collect these English-language groups of Debrecen.
I introduce medium size and general groups in the first article.
International Student Union (ISU) Debrecen
With more than 4 000 members, it is one of the largest English-language Facebook groups of Debrecen. It is the group of the University of Debrecen.
It is the official group of the ISU Debrecen. It is the forum for all cross-faculty problems concerning international students. All joint faculty events are posted here.

It is the little sister of the ISU group where, as the title suggests, Hungarians help international students of the University of Debrecen.
They inform the members of student discounts and news that could be useful for them. So, you can ask questions about school, Neptun, public holidays, or anything else.

It is not a very big group since it has only circa 500 members, but you can find useful posts here even if you are not a member, because it is a public group.
All post is in English or bilingual in topics which are relevant for expats. It is open to anyone with an interest in Hungary. The community aims to discuss topics and experiences regarding business, culture, and life in Hungary.
