From the 1st to the 7th of December, the Sport and Leisure Association for the Visually Impaired organize a charity run, this time online. The abbreviation of the name of the non-profit association in Hungarian is “LÁSS” which gets the prefix “Miku” to create a pun, so it becomes the Hungarian equivalent of the English name, Santa Claus.
Since 2012, this is the 8th Charity Run of the organization. In the previous years, it was an offline event where hundreds of supporters run together in the Margaret Island Athletic Center wearing Santa Claus costumes. In past years, many beneficial Santa Clauses took part in this event, but there are lots of changes in Santas life in 2020, so people mustn’t run together.

This year they made this to be a virtual event. By registering for the genuine beneficial run, you hit two birds with one stone, as you burn some calories and help the Sport and Leisure Association for the Visually Impaired at the same time. You can go for a run anywhere the distance you chose between 1-7 December just take a picture during this activity and post the photo with the #mikuLASS2020 hashtag on Facebook. If you don’t have a Facebook account, you can send it to the e-mail address: mikulassfutas@lassegyesulet.hu. In this case, they will share the photos without your name.

But first of all, fill in the registration form at http://lassegyesulet.hu/8-mikulass-charity-run/?lang=en and pay the registration fee: 2020 HUF (6 EUR). If you don’t want or can’t run, you can choose the donation option with 0 km.
