Due to the reconstruction of the Nyíl – Hadházi utca and Bem tér junctions, the water supply replacement work has entered a new phase. The following traffic restriction has introduced in the 2nd phase of the reconstruction work from the 25th of March 2021 – the Mayor’s Office of Debrecen City with County Rights informed us.
At the Bem tér junction, the right-turning lane for those turning from Füredi út to Péterfia is temporarily closed, and the right-turning opportunity will be from the straight-ahead lane keeping the straight-ahead direction as well. It is important that an excavation is created due to the special work at the intersection. So, motorists and pedestrians need to be paying enhanced attention here!
Going from the direction of Simonyi út in the direction of Bem tér, in the direction of Füredi út, the straight-right lane will temporarily be ceased instead you can turn right from the lane going straight in the direction of Péterfia utca in the direction of Füredi út. Part of the classifying lane in the direction of Bem tér – Péterfia út will be temporarily closed.
At the Nyíl utca – Hadházi út junction, the straight-right lane from Árpád tér towards Nyíl utca – Hadházi utca was closed. In the direction of Hadházi út, it will be possible to turn right from the lane of Nyíl utca leading to Bem tér.
The car parks in front of Nyíl utca 16-18-20 were closed during the works.
The complete closure will remain next to the Méliusz Juhász Péter Library. The contractor reserves this as a deployment and construction area.
The Bem tér service road in the direction of Péterfia utca will be restricted halfway from Nyíl utca, so you mustn’t park on this section for the duration of the construction.
It will not be possible to drive from Nyíl utca to the service road. The service road can be approached from Kétmalom Street.
Pedestrian traffic from Füredi út to Nyíl utca is still possible at the existing pedestrian crossing, but it will be narrowed on Füredi út due to the excavation.
Straight on the part facing Nyíl Street, the green area opposite the pedestrian crossing becomes a complete work area. In the direction of the Bem tér service road, a temporary sideway will be built next to the working area.
Motorists traveling this way are asked not to drive out of habit but to be mindful of the traffic signs!
